Frequently Asked Questions

Small is great for a few everyday items, Medium for a typical week's worth of clothes, Large for one blanket or comforter, and Extra Large for one pet bed, oversized comforter, or large rug. When in doubt size up — it's more effective than overloading a smaller machine and saves you from rewashing.
We recommend one blanket per Large machine and one oversized item per Extra Large machine. Overloading prevents the machine from spinning properly, leaving your items soaking wet and likely requiring an additional cycle.

Overloaded machines can't spin properly which leaves your laundry soaking wet. You'd need to run another cycle — costing you more time and money. When in doubt, size up!
We have Medium, Large, and Extra Large dryers. As a general rule match your dryer size to the washer size you used.

Put all detergent directly in with your clothes. The top dispenser bins are for liquid bleach and liquid fabric softener only. Please do not put powder detergent or pods in the top bins — it can affect your wash cycle.

No problem — we have vending machines at both locations stocked with soap products, snacks, and drinks.

At our Overland Rd location we accept quarters and the PayRange app. At our 12th St location we currently accept quarters only with the PayRange app coming soon. Both locations have an ATM and bill changers on site.

Yes — the PayRange app is available at our Overland Rd location. It's a convenient cashless way to pay without needing quarters. Download it at payrange.com and it will give you $5.00 your first purchase.

Both locations are open every day from 7am to 11pm.
Yes — doors automatically lock at 11pm and unlock at 7am. However the doors are equipped with a sensor so anyone inside can always exit freely. You will never be locked in. Please note that lights do go off shortly after closing, so we strongly recommend starting your last wash by 10pm to ensure you're finished and on your way before then.

Please start your last wash no later than 10pm so you have plenty of time to dry and be on your way before we close at 11pm.

Yes — both locations have parking available on the front and side of the building.
Free WiFi is available at our Overland Rd location. The network name is Boise Laundry CO and the password is posted in store. Our 12th St location does not currently have WiFi.
Yes — both locations have comfortable seating and tables for guests.

Yes — both locations have vending machines with snacks, drinks, and laundry supplies so you never have to run out for anything.
Yes! Both locations have arcade games to keep everyone entertained while you wait.

We want Boise Laundry Co. to be a clean, comfortable, and respectful space for everyone. A few things to keep in mind:

Empty all pockets before washing
Put detergent directly in with your clothes — top bins are for liquid bleach and fabric softener only
Do not wash horse blankets or items with large metal clips
If washing shoes keep an eye on the dryer door — shoes can kick it open mid cycle
Please use headphones for all audio — phone calls, music, and videos should not play through your phone speaker out of courtesy to other guests
Children must remain with a parent or guardian at all times for everyone's safety
